Me and... the Małopolska Economics Festival

Today I had the great honor of presenting the perspective of a public institution in the era of artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML). It was an important, inspiring but also responsible experience - because AI opens up huge opportunities for administration, but at the same time poses new challenges for us.

I emphasised not only the benefits but also the real risks: from the risk of misuse and errors to data security issues and public trust. In the public sector, we must be particularly cautious because every decision made with AI affects residents and impacts their daily lives.

An important part of my presentation also covered legal and social challenges - rapidly changing regulations such as the AI Act, ethical dilemmas, the need for transparency, and societal concerns about automation and privacy. These are areas where government must strike a balance between innovation and responsibility.

I want to wholeheartedly thank the organisers for inviting me. It was a real honour and a huge motivation for me to continue working at the intersection of technology and the public sector.

I am convinced that we have many challenges ahead of us, but also a huge opportunity: AI and ML can become a real tool for positive change in the public sector if we act wisely and responsibly.

Thank you once again - and I hope this is just the beginning of our joint initiatives!
